SARA GRUEN TALKS BOUT ROB AND HIS FANS WITH VF ITALY - SCAN + TRANSLATION

imagebam.com imagebam.com

VF Italy: Several humans in his book are not as smart or funny. In particular, she is highly critical of celebrity and the entertainment world. It is not that the contacts he had with the studios for the realization of how the Water for the Elephants have provided the inspiration in some way?
SG: Fortunately, the Hollywood that I knew him is very different from what I describe in books. More than anything I was referring to people like Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton, and the protagonists of reality. Instead Christoph and Reese (Waltz and Witherspoon) outside of work think especially to their families and Robert (Pattinson) I found him pleasant, open-minded ”

VF Italy: As well as he is overwhelmed by the attentions of his fans
SG: True. I was on set two days in the desert, 40 minutes from Los Angeles. It was summer, very hot and there was no way to find shelter in the shade. His fans arrived at 4 am, and even if the security held them off the set, They remained there until 10 pm. Hoping to see him only for a few minutes and from afar.

VF Italy: What did you think that he would be the protagonist (of WFE)
SG: I have never seen the Twilight saga I did not knew exactly what to expect realized how hard he worked and how it was concentrated on the character. Not even my children, being male were particularly impressed by him instead their girlfriends were. I have 4 copies of my book autographed by him but I will not give it to them until they are big enough not to give them to the first girl who requests them.

WFE'S SCREENWRITER RICHARD LAGRAVENESE TALK BOUT THE CAST - ROB MENTION

CTPost Q: Can you talk a little about the film's cast?
Richard LaGravenese: When I read the book myself I thought of Reese because of a paragraph when Marlene (Reese's character) is first introduced it described her complexion -- the kind of beauty she had. It was sort of this glow, this sort of peaches and cream translucent beauty within the squalor of where the horses and the animals and the menagerie was. Who popped into my head was Reese, but it wasn't just my decision; Francis (the film's director) felt the same way and she was his first choice I think.

And Robert really has a lot of 1930s leading man qualities; he's one of those actors who the camera just adores in the way that they did with 1930s leading men. And Christoph is just such a fine actor there's no question about Christoph to make August (the main character's rival in the film) a complex character.  Read more

BOOBOO STEWART SAYS ROB IS HIS FAVE PERSON TO WORK WITH

“Rob [Pattinson] is my favorite person to work with, he really surprised me. I didn’t expect him to be that funny, I thought he was going to be a quiet guy, but once you start talking to him he is hilarious, I couldn’t stop laughing,” says Stewart.

DAN RADCLIFFE TELLS GQ (UK) THAT ROB IS "SEX SYMBOL"

Daniel also admitted he doesn't think his fans view him in the same was as 'Twilight' devotees do Robert Pattinson because they have seen him grow up on screen.

He explained to the British edition of GQ magazine: "There's more of a sexual energy behind 'Twilight' fans. Because people have mostly grown up with me, they tend to think of me as an older brother kind of figure. Whereas I think Rob is the sex symbol. And also, I guess, he's out there more than I am, going to parties and things.

"I think everyone goes to more parties than me, so it's not really a big competition."

KELLAN LUTZ IMPRESSED BY ROB'S WORKOUT REGIMEN

In the "Breaking Dawn" trailer we see Edward Cullen take his new bride Bella on their honeymoon retreat, and it’s there that we get a short glimpse of his bulging back when he BREAKS THE HEADBOARD in a fit of passion.

After seeing the scene, however, some wondered if Rob actually used a body double. Well, we caught up with his "Twilight" co-star Kellan Lutz, who blessedly assured us that it was all Rob.

"Someone asked if that was me. Is that Kellan’s back?" the 26-year-old actor said, laughing at the idea. "I’m really proud of Rob for working out and really training really hard. He cycled so hard and trained very hard, and he’s really diligent. He talked to me about what proteins to drink and what to do and he listened and cared. He had a great mentality for it."

via Google translate.
LaProvenceFr For the new film by David Cronenberg?
JB: Yes, it is called "Cosmopolis." I play an art dealer who has an "affair" (relationship) with Robert Pattinson. He is a millionaire who loses everything.

Robert Pattinson is moving in a sphere that seems far removed from yours ...
JB: I have no perspective on his career, I have not seen the "Twilight". We had dinner together on the set. This is an incredible film buff, who for several years, saw two to three films a day. He is a fan of "Amants du Pont Neuf" (The Lovers on the Bridge). It was fun, it looked like a small child.

Ms. Binoche will play the role of Didi Fancher in Cosmopolis

SHIA LABEOUF TALKS MENTIONS ROB IN AN INTERVIEW WITH A ITALIAN MAG

Translation

Your bank account and be the idol of our peers does not balance things?
But they are fragile things..Popularity is like a drug, I wouldn't want the worldwide popularity of Robert Pattinson or Justin Bieber, and but even if you don’t reach those levels, it is hard not feel at least a little almighty

CHRISTIAN SERRATOS TALKS BOUT ROB "HE'S SO GENUINE AND FUNNY AND HAS A UNIQUE SOUL"

Christian Serratos, who plays Angela Weber in the Twilight Saga, spoke exclusively with Celebuzz about the series coming to an end.

“I felt like it all came full circle and that we did what we came to do and we all really became family with not only each other, but our characters, so it was kind of sad to let our characters go, “ says Serratos.

(...)

Of course, we had to ask her about our favorite vampire, Edward Cullen, and when it comes to Robert Pattinson, it seems like he has the ability to steal girls’ hearts everywhere.

“Robert’s great. I don’t think I will ever meet anyone else like him. He is so genuine and funny and has a unique soul and I really respect that about him,” says Serratos.

REID EWING (MODERN FAMILY) TALKS BOUT ROB'S GOOD LOOKS

Who was your favorite person you met? [at the MTV Movie Awards]
I didn’t really meet anybody, except Tila Tequila interviewed me, and she called me a hottie so I like that. That was basically it. I was really up close to a lot of big people. There is something about Robert Pattinson, you know what I mean? I’ve never actually seen him up close, but he retains his good looks. It’s pretty crazy it’s like ‘Wow, he actually does look like some ancient vampire.’

JACQUELINE WEST MENTIONS ROB IN AN INTERVIEW WITH VOGUE

Jacqueline West, Water for Elephants' costume designer, mentions Rob in an interview with Vogue
How closely do you work with actors?
Reese was very involved with creating a look for Marlena with [director] Francis [Lawrence] and me. We watched 30s films together and pored over hundreds of stills. She studied women’s postures, stances, body language. They even smoked differently. Rob [Pattinson] was wonderful in that way too.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE THINKS ROB "DRESS PROPERLY"

Justin Timberlake mentioned Rob's style in a new interview with Playboy
PLAYBOY: You’ve also influenced people with your fashion choices, including your clothing line, William Rast. You wear a certain hat or sneaker and suddenly everyone’s wearing it. Does that ever feel weird?

TIMBERLAKE: I don’t think about my influence on stuff like that too much. I see a lot of young guys dressing more like I should have been dressing when I was their age. Robert Pattinson dresses properly. He’s more adept than I was. But I don’t know. I don’t think there’s been one specific person other than Sinatra who has influenced my style.

KENAN THOMPSON BOUT ROB HOSTING SNL "THAT WOULD BE AWESOME"

Trying to get Robert Pattinson to host "Saturday Night Live" next season might be a bit like trying to make fetch happen. (Shout out to the "Mean Girls" fans out there!) But that doesn't mean we aren't gunning for it anyway. And it seems that—like Jason Sudeikis, who recently made us all giggle as the MTV Movie Awards host—Kenan Thompson is also petitioning to get the "Breaking Dawn" star on the show.

"That would be awesome," he told us at the "iParty With Victorious" bash, adding that he'd also be into Kristen Stewart stopping by. "They'd have to do whatever we asked them to do… it's usually great when people get into it."

(If Rob needs some more encouragement, Jason had these kind words for him: "We got you, buddy. You'll be fine. Hold on to me tightly. We'll take you through the forest of 'SNL.'")

Speaking of all things "Twilight," it seems that Kenan was intent on having James Franco get his vampire on. Unfortunately, no one else was. "I tried to do this one skit when I think James Franco was hosting," he revealed. "[The sketch was] about a kid who's a vampire with just one vampire tooth, but that didn’t work."

JASON BATEMAN WANTS TO GIVE ROB AN 'ACCENT TEST'

Though "Horrible Bosses" stars Jason Bateman and Charlie Day might not have been up for any MTV Movie Awards, they still were a bit defensive about the way "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" swept Sunday's awards show.

"There's nothing but Brits," Bateman said. "Lots of Brits on stage."

Day agreed with Bateman's sentiments. "I think I'm up to 15 Brits, and why do we let them in here?" he deadpanned. "I mean, they win all our awards and they get all our acting jobs. You know, I could be a vampire. Not now, but 15 years ago."

Bateman seemed to doubt whether Robert Pattinson's accent was even real.

"Boca. I heard Boca," Day said after Bateman called Pattinson's origins into question.

MTV's Josh Horowitz tried to lead the interview away from dangerous territory by asking what the duo would do if they ever met Pattinson in real life, but they weren't having it.

"I'd give him some sort of an accent test," Bateman said, and Day followed with, "I'd have to see some sort of drivers license. Birth certificate. "

JASON SUDEIKIS BOUT ROB HOSTING SNL "WE GOT YOU BUDDY.YOU'LL BE FINE"

Fans would love to see MTV Movie Award nominee and "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson take a stab at hosting "Saturday Night Live." Well, maybe when "SNL" castmember Jason Sudeikis hosts the Movie Awards this Sunday, he can convince the British heartthrob to come on the show next season.

"I think anybody should host ['SNL'] if it's something they want to do. Just give it a shot!" Sudeikis told MTV News just steps away from the Gibson Amphitheatre, where the 2011 MTV Movie Awards will be taking place Sunday. "We're certainly a safe place, a safe haven."

Sudeikis even had some encouraging words for the potential host: "We got you, buddy. You'll be fine. Hold on to me tightly. We'll take you through the forest of 'SNL.' "

As far as he can remember, Sudeikis has yet to introduce himself to Pattinson. Though he might have met him already — unless that person was actually the star of "Dexter."

"I think I met him in the evening of the Emmys, but at the after-after-afterparty," he recalled. "So it may have been Michael C. Hall. They may have both been there. But no, it'll be nice to see him. He's never hosted 'SNL.' Him or Kristen [Stewart]. And Kristen I got to meet during the promos, but Robert I haven't met yet."

In that promo, Sudeikis gives Stewart a haircut, but we're not sure fans would be as comfortable watching the Movie Awards host chop off Pattinson's famous locks. The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California

ROBERT SEAN LEONARD ( Dr.WILSON ON HOUSE) LENDS ADVICE TO ROB

Robert Sean Leonard is probably best known in millennial circles for his work as Dr. James Wilson on House, but those of us whose pop culture knowledge runs a bit deeper will recall that he portrayed a vampire in the teen-friendly My Best Friend Is A Vampire. This film was part of Hollywood’s late Eighties vampire frenzy, a period in which actors like Jim Carrey (Once Bitten) and Chris Sarandon (Fright Night) also played these fiendishly handsome creatures of the night.

Well, as we all know, the vampire craze has experienced a resurgence over the last few years, thanks mainly to the work of one Robert Pattinson in the Twilight Saga. So when Robert Sean Leonard stopped by the set of VH1′s new morning show, Big Morning Buzz Live, we asked him if he, as an elder statesman of the Sexy Vampire set, had any advice for R Pattz. Well, he hilariously admitted to us that he “couldn’t tie Robert Pattinson’s shoes — and I mean that literally,” but what really made us laugh was him trying to work out the logistics of how a vampire could kill a werewolf (and vice versa). Watch the video above, you’ll see what we mean!

BILLY BURKE TALKS BOUT WEDDING SCENE. MENTIONS ROB

TwilightishDid you find it emotional to watch Bella get married?

Billy: You know what? It wasn't so much that it was emotional. Those days we were shooting the wedding, in all honesty, there was something about them that brought stuff up not only in me, but in other people on the set. Something that was visceral. We ended up saying "this is kinda weird isn't it?" I can't explain what it was, it wasn't like my daughter was getting married, but there was definitely something that was quite touching going on.

Twilightish: Were you ever Team Jacob? Or do you think Charlie would have chosen Edward between the two?

Billy: I have never played that game. I suppose had I ever read the books I may have had a stronger opinion, but I just don't care. Sorry!! It's not my thing. I think Taylor and Rob are great guys but I don't get into the fantasy world of picking a favorite boy character.

DIRECTOR GUS VAN SANT TALKS BOUT AUDITIONING FOR 'BD', MENTIONS ROB

When Robert Pattinson told us Gus Van Sant would be his ideal director for "Breaking Dawn" because the material is "all about teenage love and obsessions," it turned out Van Sant himself was listening.

As the director revealed to MTV News at the Cannes Film Festival, Pattinson's suggestion led directly to Van Sant joining the short list of helmers in March 2010.

"I've never met [Pattinson], but I think that's where it started," he said. "I had heard him mention it in the press. So I thought, 'Oh, is that even actually a possibility? Would they even hire someone like me for this film?' That's how I got all involved in it. I told my agent, so I became one of the directors."

The other directors being considered at the time were Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon. Each reportedly met with Summit Entertainment, with the job eventually going to Condon. Before he was passed over, however, Van Sant had what he called a very nerve-racking meeting with studio execs.  More at MTV

MICHAEL FASSBENDER MENTIONS ROB IN INTERVIEW WITH THE TIMES MAG (UK)

'So how does it feel to be on the launch pad of global fame? So far he has managed to protect his below-the-radar life. Working with Brad Pitt, he witnessed the downside: “A young female fanbase is the toughest to slip and slide away from,” he says. “I don’t suppose Robert Pattinson could just stroll down to Tesco without getting mobbed. It is nice to be able to go out and continue to observe people, a luxury as an actor.”'
