The Government of Goa, in association with Infotech Corporation of Goa, has launched m-governance (mobile governance) in the State. As part of the programme, places significant to tourists will each get a unique code number. Texting the code number to 56070, will provide tourists information about that place. The places include forts, beaches, cultural hotspots, and heritage sites, among others. Sign boards listing the codes for each place will be placed at strategic spots across the State.
