jepson fashion show

The students who don't make it onto the SCAD runway (which is very prestigious, only selecting 20 seniors from the Savannah campus and 5 from the Atlanta campus this year) break into groups and set up their own fashion shows. The first one I attended was held last night in the beautiful Jepson Center for the Arts, in the Richard and Judy Eckburg Atrium.

I arrived almost an hour early to secure a great spot to document the event.

I wish Ethan had been one of the male models, but I don't think he knew any of the menswear designers.

The only camera I had with me was my blackberry, which doesn't do well with movement so I chose to do video recordings of each of the collections. Unfortunately, the sun set during the show, so towards the end it is difficult to see the detail in the garments. I can honestly say it was a gorgeous production. Elizabeth Cantu (sadly one of the darkest recordings I shot) was my favorite designer, with her gravity defying silhouettes. Dhymond Nicolls was the most impressive model - she gracefully navigated the grand staircases practically blindfolded (you'll see what I mean in the video of Sook Kim's show, which was lovely).

So here it is, the entire show, broken down by designer:
